Code 9 Sponsors their first Assistance Dog
Introducing Codey!
Well Code 9 family, we have some pretty exciting news to share with you all!
As you know, it’s our privilege to be able to support first responders and 000 operators who are living with mental health conditions resulting from service to the community.
We’ve seen the power of peer support. And we’ve also seen the incredible impact of PUPPY support!
And through the incredible donations that we have received, and from the money raised by everyone purchasing awesome products like our merch and Dansun Photos books and calendars, we recently raised enough money to fund Code 9’s very first assistance dog.
We would love you all to meet “Codey”!
We’re all a tiny bit smitten - but how could you not be! Codey is now 7 months old and living with his foster family while he undergoes the first part of his training with the awesome team from Assistance Dogs Australia.
The process involved in getting these dogs from cute little pups like Codey through to fully functioning assistance dogs is massive. So many people give of their time and hearts to make this happen. And we’re so proud to play a small role in making sure someone eventually knows the unique love and support that comes from having one of these remarkable animals.
Please tune in to tonight’s (20 Feb) ABC 7.30 Report for a special interview with our Founder Mark and the amazing Jimmy (and his human - Committee Member Rob Jimmy, PTSD and Me), and of course, Codey!
Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support of the Code 9 Foundation - without you all, none of this would have been possible!
